This painting is unique and original and painted entirely by me. The hull form was compiled by me from photographs taken by me of the actual ship at Portsmouth dockyard , and the sail form, rigging and background detail were composed by me.

the Victory of 1756 (20x28ins)

The Victory was launched in 1765 and gained fame as the Flagship of Admiral Lord Nelson at the Battle of Trafalgar in October 1805. She is now preserved at Portsmouth Dockyard.
