This painting is unique and original and was painted entirely by me. The hull form was copied from a black and white sketch by Wm. Van de Velde, and the sail form, rigging and background detail were by me.

de Eendracht of 1654.

De Eendracht of 1654 was commanded by Jacob Van Wassenaer (Earl of Obdham) during the 2nd Anglo-Dutch war. She blew up under the guns of the Royal Charles off Lowestoff on the 3rd June 1665.

(NOTE from me - I may have to repaint the flags on the English ships, as they date from the 1st Anglo Dutch War, and I'm not too sure that the Eendracht would have seen acton in that campaign)
