British battleships HMS Queen Elizabeth, with the Valiant.
HMS Queen Elizabeth was commissioned in 1915 and was Command ship at the Dardanelles Campaign in the Great War, but she missed the Battle of Jutland due to repairs. She received a major Modernisation before the outbreak of WW2, and served in the Mediterranean. She (and the Valiant) were mind by Italian frogmen while moored in Alexandria Harbour in December 1941. She was out of action for 18 months and she had to sail to Norfolk, Virginia to have her temporary repairs reconstructed. That was completed in June 1943 when she transferred to the Far East Fleet and participated in the raiding Japanese bases in the Dutch East Indies. She was scrapped in July 1948.
